Editors play a central role in maintaining the quality, integrity and timeliness of the journals published by EMBAR Publishers. These guidelines outline the key responsibilities of our editorial board members.
Peer Review
Assign suitable, independent reviewers, manage conflicts of interest, and ensure a constructive double-blind review process.
Confidentiality
Treat all manuscripts, reviewer identities and editorial correspondence as strictly confidential.
Ethics
Uphold COPE standards, address plagiarism and misconduct promptly, and issue corrections or retractions where required.
Timeliness
Respond promptly to authors and reviewers and help keep review and publication timelines on track.
Development
Support the journal’s growth through special issues, outreach and continuous improvement of editorial practice.
